The FIP Journey of WuKong
WuKong has been finished the treatment more than a year already,
I want to take the chance here to express my sincerest thanks to Janet and zephyr.
Back to mid-Feb 2022,
WuKong showed symptoms of losing energy & weight, poor appetite and accumulating ascites.
Vet said it might be wet-FIP and suggest to remove tissues for further tests.
We were so panic and unwilling to do the surgery as we were afraid of possible side-effects, however we still agreed to do it to help WuKong.
After the operation, the vet said we have to wait at least 4 to 5 days to get the analysis.
At this period we searched around the Internet and met Zephyr by luck.
Zephyr suggested we better started Bliss treatment as soon as possible as Wukong's symptoms had been deteriorating and his immune system was weakened after the operation.
Next day we took Wukong back from the clinic and contacted Zephyr to start Bliss' treatment.
He came to show us and teach how to inject it as well as what we need to pay attention when giving the injection, he even didn't cost us a penny for it.
After 3-days of injection, WuKong's pee was less yellowish. Although his weight was drop, it was believed to be the fluid's weight, his appetite was back and he became more energetic. At that moment we still had to hand-feed Wukong and he only preferred to eat salmon.
After long-wait we finally received the report and said it was really FIP.
It takes around 2 weeks to see Wukong's improvement, he started playing with us again and 'meow' to us, but he still didn't eat much dry food.
1-month later, Wukong was back to himself, his weight was 6.4 kg before treatment, down to 6.1 kg in the middle and
gained to 6.5 kg at that point.
Vet mentioned that anemia had been improvement, still lymph node were a bit bigger than original but much better already.
At the same time Wukong need to take antibiotics since they found Wukong may have heart disease and had pneumonia, we decided to switch to Bliss' pills afterward.
After another month, Wukong gained his weight from 6.5kg to 7.0kg, he also stayed in good mode, and willing to eat and play with us.
At Day-84 with Bliss treatment, he was 7.4 kg and 1-year later he was already 9.3 kg.
Wukong was very energetic even we switched from injection to pills during the treatment.
We are so grateful to Janet and Zephyr, saving WuKong's life with Bliss' treatment.
I wish everyone's cats are in good health.
Even if he/she does really feel sick and show symptoms of FIP, don’t worry and it is better to the cat to start FIP-treatment as soon as possible.
